Evening Walk at the Corner of Manezhnaya Square

Evening Walk at the Corner of Manezhnaya Square

Illuminated at night in present time, the beautiful red brick building of State Historical museum was built on the Red Square (located behind the building on this picture) in Neo-Russian style by project of prominent architects Sherwood and Semenov between 1875 and 1881. The impressive monument to Marshal Zhukov, the legendary general from WWII called by soldiers “The Marshal of Victory”, in front of the north side of the museum was solemnly opened in 1995, during celebration of 50th anniversary from the Great Victory.

Not so much snow in historical center of Moscow seson during the current mild winter season (2014-2015).

I recently visited Moscow for the first time on an individual tour. I needed a driver and tour guide and found Arthur.

He was professional and considerate from start to finish.
We spoke mainly in Russian but Arthur speaks English well.

He followed through on all our commitments and made sure that I was taken care of.

Myself coming from a Russian background added an interesting dimension to my trip and Arthur and I had built a friendship during my trip and communication before hand.

I had an itinerary that was probably out of the box on some levels and Arthur handled it well.

Thank you Arthur for service and helping to make my trip outstanding.
