Evening Walk at the Corner of Manezhnaya Square

Evening Walk at the Corner of Manezhnaya Square

Illuminated at night in present time, the beautiful red brick building of State Historical museum was built on the Red Square (located behind the building on this picture) in Neo-Russian style by project of prominent architects Sherwood and Semenov between 1875 and 1881. The impressive monument to Marshal Zhukov, the legendary general from WWII called by soldiers “The Marshal of Victory”, in front of the north side of the museum was solemnly opened in 1995, during celebration of 50th anniversary from the Great Victory.

Not so much snow in historical center of Moscow seson during the current mild winter season (2014-2015).

My son and I had a fabulous time with Arthur on our four day stay in Moscow. Arthur is a great tour guide - he knows so much about the history, architecture, and art and is very enthusiastic and proud of his city and country. The trip to Suzdal and Vladimir was the best part of our time with him. So many things to see and experience! The photographs taken by Arthur are an added bonus - so much better than our Iphone photos!. Thanks, Arthur, for a fabulous and educational tour of Moscow, Suzdal, and Vladimir!
