Evening Walk at the Corner of Manezhnaya Square

Evening Walk at the Corner of Manezhnaya Square

Illuminated at night in present time, the beautiful red brick building of State Historical museum was built on the Red Square (located behind the building on this picture) in Neo-Russian style by project of prominent architects Sherwood and Semenov between 1875 and 1881. The impressive monument to Marshal Zhukov, the legendary general from WWII called by soldiers “The Marshal of Victory”, in front of the north side of the museum was solemnly opened in 1995, during celebration of 50th anniversary from the Great Victory.

Not so much snow in historical center of Moscow seson during the current mild winter season (2014-2015).

In May 2009, my girlfriend and I spent 5 nights in Moscow, and were very fortunate to have Arthur as our guide for 2 of those days. Arthur is so friendly and warm, it was as if we were being shown Moscow by a relative, although much more knowledgeable and a better photographer than any relative of mine. His insights, knowledge of Moscow and its history, and his command of English make him the perfect guide. And the pictures he took for us made the trip even more special. If you want a memorable visit to Moscow, you must experience it with Arthur. I can't recommend him enough.
