Portrait of WWII Veteran

Portrait of WWII Veteran

This is one of my favorite and I think one of the most successful portraits of veterans of the Great Patriotic War that I took in the Victory Park at the day of celebration of 64th anniversary from the final surrender of Nazi Germany to the USSR.

I believe that this portrait of WWII veteran dressed in a simple black uniform with his impressive face and long white beard, with his medals received for feats in fights of the most horrible war and with the huge bunch of flowers granted to him during this day by respectful people can not leave you insensitive!

We are two couples who had just completed an educational tour from St Petersburg to Moscow (lectues daily, etc,).

We arranged for Arthur to guide us for three days after the tour in order to drive us to some of the WW-II battle areas outside of Moscow. Also, to see some sights of Moscow which are not on the regular tourist agenda. Arthur did a wonderful job of showing us the kinds of places we wanted to see and of adding to our insights of Russia and the Russian people. He also took us to the airport on the fourth day and made sure we were correctly on our way to catch ou flight.
We would highly recommend him to anyone needing a personal driver/guide in the Moscow area!!!
