St. Nicholas on the Bersenievka

St. Nicholas on the Bersenievka

This beautiful church is about 350 years old. It is located on the small ireland on the Bersenievskaya Embankenment, on the other side of the Moscow-River from the Moscow Kremlin. The rumors says that in the middle of 17th century they built a tunnel undergraund, at least 500 meters under the river, between this church and the Kremlin. This church and place have very interesting history.

In 1656, the prominent Moscow official Averkii Kirillov replaced a wooden Church of St. Nicholas on his urban estate fronting the Moscow River with a brick church dedicated to the Trinity, but persistently known as the Church of St. Nicholas on Bersenevka. Completed the following year, the church was attached to a rare example of 17th century brick domestic architecture in Moscow. That structure was subsequently much rebuilt, as were ancillary parts of the church, but the central part has been well restored, particularly the roof.

As a Photographer based in US for long time, I was looking for a very Professional college in Moscow that can provide me the "secret" places or as we know in photography, the Key points of the BEST POV (Point of View) for each photo we can get.

I did my research very well before I travel to Moscow and St. Pet during the month of May 2017.

I have to say that I love Night city view Photography; and after my research, I could not make a better decision than contact Arthur as my Photo tour guide.
Since the very beginning when I get in contact with Arthur, He was very helpful in all matters including the easy way to make deposit payment etc.

The best part came when I arrive to Moscow and after a nice dinner with my wife, He offered to pick me up any where I need to.

I can say that for sure not many people know the city and the best Points Of View of Moscow as Arthur does.

We started the city tour during the "magic hour" at dusk and from there on, EVERY place He showed to us was better and better. I can say that I came back to US, with a LOT of Great Photographs thanks to Arthur.
Those places could not be found (or covered) by my self in the same period of time we did.
There is no way to move in Moscow at night using public transportation and cover the many places we did cover during this GREAT tour with Him.

Arthur, thank you very much for your VERY professional Photo Tour. For sure, in future visits to Moscow, I know I do have a friend and a very professional tour guide for us ...
