Matreshkas on the Old Arbat

Matreshkas on the Old Arbat

The traditional symbol of russian culture is Matreshka (also spelled Matryoshka), which is a set of nesting dolls. Most of them are exclusive author's works made by famous russian artists. Every doll (except the last one, the smallest) consists of two parts. The smaller doll inserts into the bigger one. Thus dolls (sometimes up to 30) can be combined inside the biggest doll - Matreshka. The size of the biggest doll can run up to 15 inches whereas the smallest - 0,1 inches! All dolls are made from natural wood.

While visiting Moscow for a wedding we had the pleasure to secure Arthur's services for various short day trips to visit the historic locations around Moscow. In addition, he was able to direct us to some of the best locations for shopping, often helping with price and selection.

In my view, his knowledge, skill and on time pick-up and delivery for us helped make our visit much more safe and enjoyable
