Walking on the Red Square

Walking on the Red Square

The Red Square is a symbol of Russia. In its architectural ensemble it is considered to be one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Through the ages it changed its name many times and only in the 17th century it received its present name "Krasnaya" - Red, which in old Russian meant - "Beautiful".

I visited Moscow with my parents in early April 2012 and we hired Arthur to show us around the city for about 2.5 days. We were all very pleased with his services as his English is excellent, he is reliable and he knows the city in and out. He not only knows all the major attractions that most first-time tourists want to visit, but also helped us customize the tour to some of our own interests - including guiding us to Jewish sites of interest, and also a fascinating site for exploring Russian military aviation history! On top of this, Arthur's photographs are professional quality - the photos he took of us at St. Basil Cathedral and of various viewpoints on our evening tour are particularly special. In fact they are the nicest photos I have from any trip in recent memory! Many thanks again from my parents and me!!
